A large variety of models and procedures for road transpoitation system analysis
exists in literature. The paper presents a comparison among different modelling
approaches (pseudo dynamic, mcsoscop~c, microscopic) for the simulation of a
road urban transportation system in emergency conditions.
Pseudo dynamic approach (derived frotn user equ~libriurn) can consider
stochastic or deterministic user behaviour in path choice and is able to provide
average values concerning traffic conditions.
The nlesoscopic represents traffic conditions on the network analysing groups of
drrvers having homogeneous behaviours, called "packets". It provides results
consistent with each packet.
