Abstract
Numerous conventional and novel technologies have been developed for the
control of air contaminants, but the selection of suitable air control equipment is
indeed an ever-important aspect. Among the several conventional control
techniques, wet scrubbing is an efficient and versatile one. This technique can be
applied to the cleaning of air streams containing a wide range of contaminants,
whether solids or gases.
In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to evaluate the
performance of a horizontal co-current type liquid jet ejector scrubber for the
abatement of utility fly ash particles.
