Abstract
Equivalent frequency response method (EFRM) was developed to analyze
non-linear elements such as threshold and saturation in control engineering. In
previous work, Hamouda and Fujita [1], [2] extended the application of EFRM
to analyze runoff for non-dimensional St. Venant equation and its related models,
e.g. diffusion, kinematic, and gravity models. The equivalent frequency transfer
function (EFTF) between the input or precipitation and the output or runoff was
derived by the new method. Previous study was restricted to one element such as
a slope or channel. In this study, the authors expand the application of EFRM to
cover a multi-element structure. EFTF between the precipitation and the runoff
from the outlet of the whole drainage basin was derived by the sa
