Abstract

Technical diagnosis expert system: An example of knowledge acquisition method R. Bertin & M. Larrechea LAP/GRAI Laboratoire d'Automatique et de Productique, 351 cours de la liberation, 33405 Talence Cedex, France ABSTRACT We propose in this paper a method for knowledge acquisition. The way of formalizing knowledge is given in details and a method : Graixpertise is presented. This method analyses the physical system and allows to design a structure to receive knowledge. The method is characterized by two elements : the tools and the processes. We give an application of this method to industrial situations in the domain of aircraft maintenance. A prototype Hyperdiagnostic has been developed to apply this method. 1 - INTRODUCTION Maintenance is a difficult problem for firms.
