Abstract
As management information systems are finding increasingly important role in
the business world and emergence of the Internet technologies play key roles
in the Internet commerce, academia needs to reexamine and reinvent its current
MIS curriculum to address the global nature of the new brave world of
electronic commerce. Today's business has been shaped by two paradigms,
global economy and electronic commerce, which were dismissed by skeptics in
the early part of this decade. MIS study finally entered into maturity as the
information systems becomes integral part of day-to-day operations of business
process. How much of what we academics do reflects the real life when it
