Abstract

In elasto-viscoplastic analysis, the use of implicit time integration techniques is advantageous or even unavoidable. This paper, in terms of previous elasto- viscoplastic FEM and BEM research work, presents a unified implicit viscoplastic algorithm for non-linear BEM. The related expressions are proposed for the implicit analysis in a general material model governed by Tresca's, Von-Mises's, Mohr-Coulomb's, Drucker-Prager's, Zienkiewicz-Pande's (ellipse and hyperbola types) yield criteria. A unified formula of the viscoplastic strain rate matrix H is developed in a form which is particularly suitable for BEM implicit algorithm. Use of the implicit elasto-viscoplastic algorithm is illustrated by the solutions of numerical examples. 1. Introduction The increasing demand for integrity and
