Abstract
This paper reports a method to analyze the peculiar free surface deforma-
tion of magnetic fluid just like a set of cones or spikes. The method is based
on the complex magnetic field and the complex fluid velocity assumed ana-
lytic, and those prepared in the Flat Space are mapped conformally into
the Real Space through a mapping relation including the inclination angle
0 and the contraction rate r, which express even the multi-valued shape
where usual methods are already powerless. For the dynamic analyses, cou-
pled evolution equations are derived with few restrictions. Furthermore,
their solution evolved from the modified stationary solution as the initial
state is investigated by the spectral method.
