Abstract
The removal of acid-gases such as sulfur dioxide (SOz) is important for
controlling the nitrous oxides (N20) exhaust emission of diesel engines. An
experimental study on the interaction between nitrous oxides emissions in the
presence of SO2 is proposed. Here we report a study of a new attempt to use the
NaOH catalyst by spray system for small diesel engines as short of post exhaust
gas treatment. The result has shown that with increasing temperature, or
increasing oxygen concentration, the emissions of N20 increase; also with an
increase in the level of SO2 the N20 emissions increase. The experiment using
NaOH spray system cooled the temperature of exhaust gases and absorbed the
acid-gas (sulfur dioxide), with the result that N20 decreased. This system aims
to reduce the N20 emitted for land
