Abstract
Condensate flow and heat transfer enhancement aspects during laminar film
condensation of pure vapours over horizontal integral-fin (HIF) surfaces are
numerically analyzed. Effects of fin geometry and fluid properties are studied.
Suitable non-dimensional groups are identified. Experimental data of
refrigerants and steam condensing over 77 copper HIF tubes are successfully
correlated for the first time in a non-dimensional form within ±15%.
