Abstract
The system of differentiated correction of charge for air pollution was worked
out, which stimulates taking measures to reduce the content of polluting
substances in the exhaust gases of automobiles. The differentiating of charge is
based on the establishing of regularities, reflecting the influence of rigorous
conditions of operation on the change of content of polluting substances.

The charging for air pollution by the mobile sources is made from their owners
in the following way. The charge is subdivided into:
- the charge for the permissible emission;
- the charge for the emission, exceeding the permissible ones.
