Abstract
The fatigue of dual phase steel has been analyzed in terms of calorimetric effects.
A simplified method has been proposed to derive heat sources from thermal
images provided by an infrared camera. Thermoelastic and dissipative sources
have then been separately estimated. Concerning the thermoelastic effects,
experimental results were in good agreement with theoretical predictions. We
also observed an intrinsic dissipation increasing with the loading frequency and
the loading amplitude.
